Hi Jake, its great to see you are working on your mihi. Did you know that the closest maunga to where you were born is Putauaki in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. I"ve always wondered if your maunga & your awa should be related to your iwi or to where you were actually born. Maybe Whaea C could help you answer my question?
